Implant Crowns

Implants with crowns are often the best treatment for missing teeth. When a damaged or decayed tooth is removed, both the visible part of the tooth, called the crown, and the root are lost. A dental implant will replace the root, which will better preserve the bone. After healing, a crown can then be placed on the dental implant. Dental implants with crowns are the closest you can get to healthy, natural teeth. There are many advantages to dental implants including: improved appearance, speech, comfort, self-esteem, oral health and durability.

Crowns

A crown is a type of dental restoration which completely caps or encircles a tooth or dental implant. Crowns are often used to improve the strength or appearance of teeth. We match the crown to the color, size and shape of your natural teeth. A crown might be recommended for the following conditions: to replace a filling, replace a broken tooth, protect a weak tooth from fracturing, attach a bridge, cover a dental implant, cover a discolored or poorly shaped tooth, or to cover a tooth that has had a root canal treatment.

Partial Dentures

A removable partial denture is typically used when an individual has several missing natural teeth. The remaining natural teeth can be as an anchor to help provide stability and support for the partial denture. Dental implants can also be used to help provide stability and support for a partial denture. The partial denture fits over and/or around the remaining natural teeth or dental implants and may clasp or connect to them.

Full Dentures

Full dentures are removable appliances that can replace all missing teeth. If you have lost all of your natural teeth, whether from gum disease, tooth decay, or injury, replacing teeth with a denture will benefit your appearance and general health. Dentures make it easier to eat, speak and restore your smile. Immediate full dentures are placed at the time of oral surgery when the remaining natural teeth are removed so you are never without teeth. Immediate dentures are typically used as a temporary denture during the healing period following the surgery after the natural teeth are removed. Following the healing period then final complete or full dentures are fabricated.

Veneers

A veneer is a thin layer of material, usually porcelain, that is placed over the front visible part of a tooth to help improve aesthetics and protect the tooth’s surface from damage. Veneers are used to change the color, shape, size, or length of your natural teeth and improve overall appearance.

Dr. Winegar operates his own in-house denture laboratory where he personally does much of the work associated with denture design and fabrication. This allows us to create customized denture work using the best materials and techniques available. Our in-house denture laboratory also allows us to do virtually all denture repairs, many while you wait and most within the same day. We also utilize some of the best commercial dental laboratories both locally and nationally to help achieve the finest results in both digital and analog applications for all types of crowns, bridges, fixed and removable dentures.
